So why is music important to us at Real Hope?

Although worship is more than just music, we feel that music has a unique power to speak to the heart! It has been said that music is the language of the soul. Here at Real Hope we believe it! Music is all around us in our culture. We hear it on the radio, television commercials, concerts, and we even whistle while we work! At Real Hope we feel that music is one way that will help our church encounter and worship God. In the Bible, David worshiped God with singing and dancing! The Psalms make many mentions of clanging cymbals, trumpets, and loud voices. Sounds a little like a rock concert! At Real Hope we want to worship God through music that is alive and energetic. We all have hearts that thrive on encouragement and that need to be energized, so our music must be speak that same kind of language to each heart that walks into our auditorium. Because music speaks so powerfully, we want you to be encouraged and lifted up by music when you come to church. We realize that people prefer different "styles" of music, so we we try to incorporate different styles in a contemporary manner. We truly feel it is our calling and privilege to be accompanists to the worship choir - which is the church. We try to play and lead in a way that does not distract the worshipers. And although the quality of our music is important to us, we are equally concerned with the kind of people whose lives bring worship to God

The Worship Arts Ministry at Real Hope Community Church exists to lead people to a personal encounter with God. It is that simple. We want to help people see God in a real way through music, media, and drama. While we need people who can sing, play instruments, run media/ sound, act, and work behind the scenes, most importantly, we need people who have a heart for God. In a very real sense, God is our audience, and every person at Real Hope “performs” only for Him.
