Glenn grew up in
central Wisconsin the 4th of
5 children. He was led to the Lord by
his older sister, Jeanne, when he was
only 7 years old. At a young age, his
Aunt Pat referred to him as the family’s
“little evangelist” because he loved to
tell people about the Lord. Right after
high school, a friend asked Glenn if he
was going to go to seminary, but the
timing was not right.
 
In 1984, Glenn and
I married, and later had three really
cool children, Heather, Kirsten and
Grant. As a police officer in the 80’s
and 90’s, Glenn says he knew that he
would not always be a cop. God was
preparing him for something more. But
what?
While at a Promise
Keepers event in 1997, Glenn felt God
was calling him into full time ministry.
Unsure of what that meant, he began
reading and seeking council until God
led him to Great Lakes Church Planters.
From that time on, the idea of planting
a church began to grow on us until Glenn
and I were sure that this was what God
had been preparing us for.
Real Hope Community
Church was born October 4, 2000, in Lake
Mills and life has been an incredible
ride ever since. God has richly blessed
us with the chance to see His church
grow from a small group in our living
room, to a garage full of seekers, to a
thriving fellowship of believers.
